1. Objective of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course which is complementary to medicine shall be to allow the students.
a) To acquire adequate knowledge of basic medical subjects and to develop skills and techniques of therapeutic exercises, electro therapy and soft tissue manipulations so as to work as an rehabilitation team member & can coordinate with other team members to provide physiotherapeutic management of various medical and surgical conditions of patients.
b) To acquire skills in management, research and teaching in physiotherapy as well as guidance and counselling of patients regarding physiotherapy.
c) To acquire proper attitude for compassion and concerns for patients and welfare of physically handicapped in the community.
d) To practice moral and ethical values and evidence base practice with regard to physiotherapy.
2. Name of the Course- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (B.P.T.).
3. Duration of the course-
The duration of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy course (B.P.T.) shall be (4) four year academic plus (6) six months compulsory rotatory internship.
4. Medium of Instruction-
English shall be the medium of instructions for all subjects of study and for examinations of the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree Course.
5. Curriculum-
The curriculum and syllabi for course shall be as prescribed by the academic Council, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences from time to time |
